Ya'aqov (James) 1:27 · Debarim (Deuteronomy) 10:18
Strength for the widow.
A father's hand for the fatherless.
We repair the homes of widows and teach their children the things a father would — changing a tire, an oil change, swinging a hammer — because Yahweh commands it.
Pure and undefiled worship looks like a fixed roof and a boy who knows how to change his mother's tire.
The Torah repeatedly names the widow and the fatherless — the gleanings left in the field, the tithe of the third year, the justice due at the gate. We are a congregation-rooted ministry answering that command with tools, time and teaching.
“Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
“He executes right-ruling for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and a garment.”

What Yahweh is doing
A dry roof before the winter rains
Volunteers spent a Sunday replacing shingles over the kitchen. "I slept through the first storm without a bucket," she told us.
Two brothers and a jack
After the tire workshop, two brothers changed their mother's flat on the side of the highway. They called us beaming.
Grab bars and peace of mind
A local contractor donated and installed bathroom grab bars so she can stay safely in her home.
